headhunter
Simon Rafferty (Simonr on here) has kindly donated two Pairs of his X-Eng XLites - here - http://www.x-eng.co.uk/X-Lite.asp for auction on the forum in aid of the Macmillan 4x4 Challenge Charity - here - http://www.mac4x4.co.uk/ I am raising money for this very worthwhile cause, along with 66 other teams mostly using Land Rovers, including a Series 2 ragtop!. Please post your bids under here. The auction will close at midnight on Sunday the 22nd of March 2009. There are two pairs of lights on offer, the auction will be for one pair, with the second pair available at the same final bid price to the winner of the first pair, should they wish to have them. If they do not, then the second highest bidder can have them at the same price as the highest bid, and so on until they are claimed. The winner will be the top bid, to be paid to my justgiving account - here - http://www.justgiving.com/johnsheldrake set up specifically for the challenge. Once the money is in the account, Simon will dispatch the lights for free (in the UK) to the winner. This prize is worth over £60 per pair, so please have a go and bid generously. If you want to support the charity without bidding please go to the justgiving account above to make a donation. If you do please also complete the gift tax form which adds to the total and comes out of Gordon's pockets. Many thanks John

simonr
Am I allowed to bid? If anyone is interested, we are about to launch a version of the lights which mount on a flat surface (roof, bonnet, A bar, forehead - you get the idea) which look brilliant. I'll pick up the first batch tomorrow. I'm happy to extend the auction to these instead of the original X-Lites (or a mixture) as preferred. I'll post a photo tomorrow with a bit of luck.
