haakon
Have anyone mounted a hi-lift inside a D1? Pictures?
doda456
They do fit nicely behind the front seats, plus you get easy access if you have a 5 door just open rear door and theres your jack, It can cause problems with the rear passenger feet thou Dan
haakon
I'll give a try. It's not very often I've got passengers anyway Any more suggestions?

Stu2985
The smaller one fits across the boot space if you tuck the pointed end between the gap in the rear seat and trim

ChrisB
I found three places my 5 foot jack would go: 1> In front of dog guard behind rear seat headrests 2> Attached to rear seat mountings, in front, rather than behind where the roof bars/jack handle goes 3> On top of the 6th and 7th seats - but watch the windows! For all these places I dismantled the jack and stored it broken down - I rarely used it, and it does fit in the 2nd row footwell, if you have to, but is not secure from killing you in a rollover, and gets in the way. freeagent
If you are actually going to use it for what it was designed don't forget you could be putting it away covered in mud from time to time.. so maybe behind the headrests isn't such a good idea. terratology
Mount it on the the spare wheel carrier, the only hardware you need is 2 12mil bolts, some washers, 4 nuts and 2 wing nuts, its an easy job and pretty self explanetary!
clbarclay
Mine lives in the rear footwell (4ft version), the plan though is to drill a couple of holes in the sloping pannel on the back of the footwell and put some bolts though to hold the hi lift. That way its held in place and should be just out of the way to not affect passanger leg room.
