Steve Warman
Hi, Can anyone tell me the valve clearance on a 2.5 petrol engine? I can find a value of 0.20mm for a diesel but couldn't find anything for a petrol. Thanks Steve

Diff
Hi,Can anyone tell me the valve clearance on a 2.5 petrol engine? I can find a value of 0.20mm for a diesel but couldn't find anything for a petrol. Thanks Steve Workshop manual says 0.25mm (hot) for both inlet and exhaust. note this is same as 10 thou as Caveman has posted. mel
Hi, If the clearances are right then thats it; 10thou = 0.25mm 40 thou=1mm I knew one day that'd come in handy !! Mark
