tips for body removal

The body is coming off mine in order to fit a nw space frame to the chassis, so has anyone got any good tips that i should know?

Need to find somewhere to do the project as well.........doh!

Oooooh!!!

Just make sure you get all the bolts etc then.

- body mounts

- seat belt tie bolts

- fuel filler, breather etc

- handbrake

- auto changer if fitted

- gear sticks

- Brake/clutch

- throttle cable

- bonnet release

- steering shaft

- heater pipes

- loom

probably missed a few things.

If you're not bothered about the body and don't have loads of lifting kit etc, i'd cut it up and take it off in three or so sections.

hopefully the whitbread space frame will be with me very shortly.............. so i made need help and advice......lol

i took mine off with 1 ton chain hoist, 2 large planks on their side to support hoist from, planks across garage wall tops..

2 large planks going though front doors and rear windows(doors ,but mine was a 2 door)

went up easy, kept perfect shape,had seats etc still in it..

but if dumping body then a proper fork lift is what you need..
