FridgeFreezer
OK, I will be the minority "for" voice then! Let me get this right, you're planning to drive across the desert running a K&N filter?
Godlykepower
Let me get this right, you're planning to drive across the desert running a K&N filter? Nah John, thats what I was saying. I use the K&N for primarily road & occasional off-road use in UK & Europe, but will switch to genuine LR paper filter in Africa. mike4444244
We used them a lot at work... but that was on race cars that had the engine pulled after each weekend Mike
Hybrid_From_Hell
OK How about 4x4 + Road Use + K&N = if you want to and feel brave enough Vs 4x4 + off road Use Inc dust dirt sh*te and Sh*t + K&N = Hope this helps Nige
paintman
The K&N reply makes much of 'increase in performance'. The dirt collection they describe as between 96% and 99%. That is reflected in the 96.8% figure given in the Duramax tests. BUT looking at the filters in those tests most of the paper ones achieved 99% plus efficiency. Without getting into an argument, the fact that someone uses one for on-road & light off-roading but isn't prepared to use it in serious conditions - the sahara post - says it all really. Took about 1 minute and no mess. true - best service i've ever done to my K+N anyone wants it for their jap spoiler toy?
