bm52
at the moment i have a halfords rubber arial about 30cm high and reception is not too good. it is mounted on the n/s wing. i have checked the connections and earth. anyone have an idea on how i can improve reception? it's ok for strong channels eg R2, R4, and my local BBC radio station but most others crackle. thanks
western
try clean the underside of the wing so the aerial mount can get a good ground [earth] connection.
BogMonster
anyone have an idea on how i can improve reception? Dump it and get a decent genuine parts telescopic aerial which will be much better. The rubber ducks are about as much use as a chocolate coathanger.

Cat_J
My rubber one on the wing is great, try the earth again
sas pinkie
Add a seperate earth cble from under the areial to the chassis, as your alli wing isnt giving a good enough earth plain as discussed above.
