V6 engine conversion

Hello,

Can anyone help please. I have come by a ford V6 engine and would like to fit it in my series 3. Does anyone know or have the dimensions for the engine mounts? Preferably without having to alter the original mounts as I might want to return to the 2.25 petrol in the future.

Thanks in advance

If its a Essex (3.0) then it will fit on the existing mounts i had one in my series 2a many years ago, when i blew it up i put back in a 2 1/4 petrol.

The one in my lwt had the mounts moved back around 2.5 inches, but is was a very early conversion, and they may have rejigged the mounts on the later conversions so you didnt have to.

Also Rich I have a pretty much brand new swb exhaust from steve parker if your interested!
