Smell of petrol

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 2.5l petrol and every time i get in a get a faint whiff of petrol in the cab.

It then gets worse if I have the window and vents open.

During its time with me I have changed the carb but nothing to drastic.

Does anyone have any idea what, if anything, could be wrong with it and if there's anything I can check to make suure I'm not riding around in a bomb?

Thanks

Steve

You may have a small leak near the carb. Check while on your pathway and feel around fuel connections.

Also you could be running rich.

Check the carb overflow outlet pipe if leaking carb float sticking.

Check fuel line is not perished .

Check fuel tank is not damage or leaking.

hope this help
