Les Henson
It can take quite a while for the water in the header tank to get warm - 20 minutes or so. Flexible exhaust tubing should be available from most motor factors/exhaust suppliers. You don't need a cat. If you have no silencers at all, then the exhaust noise might be excessive at higher revs - although the turbo cuts the noise down quite a bit. Fitting just the rear resonator off a 200/300 TDi is what a lot of people do. Les.
