clbarclay Posted April 29, 2009 Share Posted April 29, 2009 I just welded a clevis onto my home made rear bumper which takes a big pin, but then I had both the pin and jaws of the clevis lying around. To be honest I'm not a big fan of the swivel shackles. Its not that I don't think they are strong enough, its just a clevis or loop recovery points are much easer to DIY and seem to be just as effective.
