Rear 'A' Frame movement

Recommended Posts

I have just sunk my fuel tank in my bobtail down into the chassis.

but just wondering how much travel does the 'A' frame do?

i have a 2.5" sus lift and 2" body lift.

so im hoping that it clears thebottom of the tank. if not suppose extended bump stops might help?

I suggest you take the springs out and jack the axle up to the bumpstops. I would want at least an inch beyond that position.

In fact, I would take the bump stops off, and jack the axle up to the chassis rails then make sure I had clearance in case you loose a bumpstop.

Rather than extending the bumpstops I would weld a bit of box the axle - that can't come off!!

x2 Bumpstops can compress to zero thickness if you load them enough.
