katluke
I am shortly going to be replacing the tyres on my 300 tdi,so would like some advice please.I mainly use the vehicle for going out shooting at night.Mainly I drive over a lot of fields and could do with some mud terrains.I have narrowed my search down to either Hankook rto3 at £67.70 or Kumho kl71 at £71.80.Just wondering which ones you would recommend or should I pay the extra and get either BFG or STT ? Thanks for your replys.
BogMonster
The KL71s seem to be well thought of and lots of people down here use them, though I am a BFG fan personally.

Thanks for your replys. I also have a Disco which I primarily use for night shooting. Just over a week ago, I put some KL71s on it, and it's been transformed. It now feels rock stable both on mud and tarmac, whereas before it was skittish if I braked hard on the road, and somewhat scary on mud. Am I pleased with them? You bet! maxtherotti
i have used the kl71,s and they are brill very little road noise (for a mt they are no worse then my at2,s) grip well on tarmac and off road only problem with them is they are directional so will need to consider what spare to carry rob
