Badger90 Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 hi chaps.. on my defender i have a 6 bolt steering box.. there is nasty leak thats been getting worse over the past year. it pretty bad now and the screw is tightend up as far as it will go.. beings the seals are buggerd and its loosing preasure.. will it be worth stripping it shoving new seals in.. would that cure the problem do you think?. or would there be any exsessive wear in the components inside the box? cheers sam Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
scube Posted May 31, 2009 Share Posted May 31, 2009 Really not worth re-building your steering box.. A seal kit will only work for a short time. I do believe a four bolt will bolt on in its place..
