Project Green Oval Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Hi everyone I have a 51 plate defender 90 which has a lot of play in the steering i cheched the box and does not seem to be there with a friend on the wheel and holding the shaft still the play is in the column is this easy to change or is ther any adjustment on it? Andrew Chua Posted June 4, 2009 Share Posted June 4, 2009 i had some knocking noises once and i thought that i've ruined the steering box. turned out to be that the bolts are loose. just have to trace down from the box and shake the linkages one at the time. knocking sounds can be from the linkages on the drop arm (near the steering damper).
