Interference to the alarm.

Check the little light by the gearstick (auto) and it should go off after 3mins when

the car ignition is off. If it comes back on again it means there is interference to the

alarm receiver, which keeps waking up the BECM.

In this state the car is using about 1Amp of battery power instead of about 0.1A

Have you or neighbours got wireless weatherstations or other such equipment?

Check which receiver you have for the central locking/ alarm, and get an updated one.

If it isn't this then do the usual pull fuses and measure to find which circuit has a 'leak'.
