minivin
I've got issues, however lets talk about the Land Rover I didn't like the ol' Series throttle linkage so I sold that on and brought myself a defender throttle pedal assembly, I've cut a few bits and bent the mounting plate (tread pedal is standard) and got it to follow the contours of a Series foot well. With it in I put the cable in with a split pin loosely and decided to have a squint in the engine pay to see if all was good, the pedal seems to have the same bell crank ratio as the series parts however my throttle positions are as follows on the CAV: nuts and bolts falling off position (at tick-over) lots of black smoke and mopeds over taking you (throttle to the floor) me question be, is it meant to go all the way to the end stop? LR90
Would seem reasonable, sort of why the stops there. Could the clevis pin not be fitted nearer the pivot point? Seems to be slotted for adjustment.
minivin
Just moved the block on the slot and it made minimal difference reducing the ratio on a crank-point and no difference doesn't compute at this moment
MarkieB
there was me thinking after I'd cleaned my engine it had improved quite nicely. It seems I'll have to pick up the windolene. Natty shade of red, too B)
minivin
I must say the shinny red does take your eyes away from the rest of the crudy engine wonder what I'll do the V8 before I fit it in........ illuminescent green perhaps
