Gren_T
Hi can anyone help with the part number for the anti rattle springs and split pins for an early 110 brake caliper made by AP numbers on the caliper are 3247-682C J6C4. I have tried all available @bearmach and the anti rattle springs are far to large. thanks in advance Gren
western
there are various types of anti-rattle/pad retainer pins/springs RTC6799 pin & coil spring set 606699 a plate type spring My 110 up to 1986 parts book only shows the 606688 for the front brake pads. there's no reason why you can change to the RTC6799 pins/springs. Gren_T
hi there i've tried the pins and springs but they dont fit in the holes on the caliper. I'll order the 6688 and see if they fit. many thanks for your time Gren
western
so just clean the pin holes out with a suitable size drill bit or a thin round file, the pins only need to slide in, doesn't matter if they are a bit tight in the hole, a tap from a hammer/punch will set them through OK.
