Les Henson
You can't get then re-chromed in this country - chroming work has to be sent abroad to be done. Filler, paint, etc, won't last very long and would only be a temporary fix. Swivel balls are Teflon coated now, and I don't know if you can get them re-coated or not. It would probably be cheaper to just replace them with new. Les.
Off Road Toad
Yes you can get them done, and in this country. there is a company on the same trading estate as our competitor in luton who specialise in this sort of thing. one of our customers has just had his toyota axles done as the swivels are integrated with the axle tubes and a new tube would be £1000 + vat! i don't know how much it cost and i dont have any other info on the company, if i can get it i will and let you know. FridgeFreezer
Surely it's easier just to stick some new ones on?

Les Henson
I understood that chroming was banned in this country - due to the chemical process/waste. Perhaps they are chrome spraying instead, I did hear that Bearmach supply chrome sprayed swivel balls. Les.

Anyone who can do fork legs should be able to do it.
