BogMonster
A torque multiplier is the proper way, can you rent stuff like that from tool hire places over there?
Aragorn
i would imagine the biggest issue is stopping the engine from turning. There will probably be a position on the flywheel that you can use to lock up the crank while tightening the pulley.

While this thread is live, the second cambelt change is due: can anyone tell be the AF size of the bolt which holds the crank pulley on on a 2.5TD? Thanks. Reiny
Reb78, On the contrary, I'm rather sure that it's 41mm.
errol209
Reb78,On the contrary, I'm rather sure that it's 41mm. 30mm is for the radius arm nuts - 41mm seems closer!
poohbear
IRRC - 30mm - 200Tdi crank bolt 41mm - TD crank bolt to pull it up I've just locked the transmission in low 1st and with diff lock on - then pulled the bolt up with a 6' scaff tube over the breaker bar, stand on wings and pull/push/swear until veins pop out of neck D. reb78
I stand corrected - was getting my engines confused!
