western
Thought these links were worth adding------------- Budget Changes for vehicles registered ON or AFTER 1st March 2001 for vehicles registered BEFORE 1st March 2001 which puts my 1989 110 at £175 for 12 months -- just a 10 quid rise Cos I managed to do last years at the £165 rate
jjojjas
So I guess my 1993 110 (200tdi) will be the same? (sorry, I clicked on the links but I had half a bottle of red and my specs are at work.....) Jas
ROGUE TROOPER
How do we find out CO2 Emmisions? 2.5D
Mark90
You only have to worry about CO2 emissions if your vehicle is later than March 2001. If it's prior to that and over 1549cc then it's now £175, it was £170 last year.
jjojjas
I looked here earlier tonight, but its just post 1997 stuff. http://www.smmtco2.co.uk/co2search2.asp Jas
western
How do we find out CO2 Emmisions?2.5D Don't have to worry about stupid emission levels, their not applicable to pre 2001 vehicles just workout your new level of road tax by engine size -- for example my 110's 200Tdi is 2500cc so it drops into the Over 1549 bracket hence my new tax rate will be 175 quid I'm happy with that

western
Check your V5C reg document it might be on there, But 200Tdi's went out of production in '93, so you maybe OK at the pre 2001 rate. Emissions rates started in '97 so well after your engine was built & doubt there will be any records showing them or use the SVA emissions test result to tax it with. landrover598
Check your V5C reg document it might be on there Nothing, it's blank I'll just wait and see what comes with the next reminder not much i can do about it
western
Was a emission test done during the SVA checks? if yes those results might help or there's nothing to stop you having a test done at a MOT place to find out what the emissions are. landrover598
Was a emission test done during the SVA checks? if yes those results might help It was done yes, but all the reference i can find now is on the log book it says SVA cert issued 23/11/2005 Emission Limit - Turbo Diesel 3.0 (M-1)
western
ask the SVA testers advice & as that's the limit [same as mine] it's not much help.

B) £175 for our '87 3.5V8, not bad I think, considering my 2 litre auto daily motor will probably be in the £190 bracket on the emissions!! Bos
Taxed my TD5 this morning as well and saved twenty quid Silly system again though - The 101 which does around 10 (on a good day !) to the gallon will now be twenty pounds cheaper to Tax than the 90 which does about 25 The only obvious way to stop people using ' gas guzzlers' would be to do away with Tax discs altogether and put the Tax on fuel - then those who use the most pay the most - but the Road Transport Lobby is far too strong for the Government. geoffbeaumont
I wonder what the CO2 g/km are for a 3.5V8 Range Rover running on LPG? Yes, I know it's irrelevent unless I choose to get it certified for emmisions (probably a bad idea...) - just curious How would you go about calculating it? ROGUE TROOPER
Come on lets face it we send more on Fuel than Tax so even £210 a year is a drop in the ocean to someone who can aford to put fuel in a 4.4L v8!! (keeps the anti 4x4 lot hapy for a while)

Depends what they're running it on - that's more than a months fuel for me, doing high mileage in a 3.5V8 but on LPG.
