HENNEGANOL
Can anyone confim whether or not steel wheels Part No. NTC 5193 (167JHZ x 33, I think that they may be from a Discovery) can be fitted to a 1997 Defender? If so what size tyre is required and is it necessary to fit wheel spacers? Gerald.
BogMonster
Yes they will fit (studs are the same and the nuts are the same) yes they are Tdi Discovery steels, tyres could be anything from 205R16 through 235/70R16, 235/85R16 or 265/75R16 and no you won't need wheel spacers with any of the above mentioned tyre sizes as the offset is the same as the offset on alloys that are fitted to Defenders. I don't know what the "official" weight rating is on these rims but from the construction I would say they are at least as strong as standard Defender steels and probably stronger.
