Anglo-Frenchman
Just in the process of replacing all my door hinge bolts etc with nice new shiny stainless ones from Stig fasteners. I notice that its a bit of a nightmare trying to take off the inside door panels without busting the little plastic fixing lugs. Any advice or tips for doing this with minimum breakages? western
Try easing them with a wide flat blade screwdriver or similar,
OilIT
The other way to do it is to get an old putty knife and grind a 'v' in it, you can then normally slide this in behind theckip and lever it off.
Anglo-Frenchman
Thanks guys. I'll give it a go over the next couple of days. The new fixings look very smart and well worth the agro. Anglo-Frenchman
Yes thanks. It's great and wish we'd made the move years ago. France is a good place to have a Land Rover and the French are well into their off-roading.
headhunter
Try an upholsterers tack remover. Its like a chisel that is split at the end to make a Y shape. John
