bernie Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 If its a britpart one that could be causing a problem, i had a new clutch slave and master cylinder pack up only a week after fitting. Also make sure that the bleed screw is at the top, otherwise you wont be able to remove all the air. You should not see fluid coming out of bellhousing, i would suggest removing slave again, and checking the seals havent blown, + you also find that once you replace the slave, the master will soon go as it cant cope with the new pressure form the slave. I have two thoughts on this problem, First is the plastic clip that locates the push rod (Coming out of the slave cylinder) hasn't located properly and the rod has slid off the pressed steel fork and the piston has been expelled with the fluid with it. It can be put back with patience with needle nose pliers to recover piston (Clean it well and put it back in the slave cylinder) and pushrod (keep and re use) and plastic clip insert (Discard and Buy another). Put it back in using a short length of pipe that just slides over the pushrod, Its got to be easily slid off, you put the pipe over the rod then you can then grip the pipe and the pushrod and it stops the plastic insert spinning round.Squeeze the clips slightly together before putting it in, will save you a bit of time. Or option 2, The painful one that the Fork has given way and the push rod has gone through the back of it, with the same result. Only solution is new fork, but may as well do clutch at the same time. Hope it helps Owain Quote
