Hi,

Posted last week on removing my fuel tank on my Defender TD5 due to a leak. Had removed the tank with helpful advice from the members here. Did some testing, the leak is apparently from fuel pump. The 4 nozzles are not leaking. Need advice what could be causing the leak. Could it be the seal between the tank and the fuel pump lock ring?

Thanks

Jack

Pending on age and general use the seam around the tank maybe knackered. Or if it the old type the seal could be rust worn. The only safe way is to pressure test with the tank empty with air.
