Hi, having recently had my timing belt fail on my 2.5 na diesel engine, due it seems to a diesel leek past the spindle seal. I was going to exchange the pump wholesale with a known good pump with renewed seals etc. However the good pump I have is from a td engine, can I use it? There are additional feed & return fittings , can these be bypassed, blanked or whatever? Many thanks. Diesel66.

I am not shure about swaping pumps I would find a Diesel specialist and have youre old pump repaired. This will garantee all the seals are changed and the pump tested and set up prior to re-fitting. For the time and trouble to have to strip the timing case down, do it once and forget seems a better move. I would have thought the TD Pump would have been diferent internaly to suite the fuel requirements of the turbo engine.
