Anyone any ideas on this one? I have a Freelander TD4 04 reg auto SE with 50K on the clock. Recently I have noticed that sometimes when I unlock (with the key fob) and get in that there is a warning type noise that sounds like beep beep - beep beep -beep beep etc and a flashing red light on the dashboard, it continues after I get in and can be silenced either by pressing the fob again or by starting the engine. It doesn't always happen and doesn't seem to cause any problems (yet). Any suggestions anyone????

When did you last change the battery in the fob?

It is supposed to bleep and the light flash once, but when it does it lots it means the fob battery is low. It is mentioned in your handbook.

Thanks I will get some new batteries and see how it goes. I had a quick look through the handbook but didn't spot that one.
