gruntus Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Chaps, I have a 200TDI defender engine replacing the original 2.5 TD. Using Microcat I have to choose the engine model as the VIN obviously wont give the correct info. The options listed are as follows: 2.5 TDi Cooled EEGR (GEM) 2.5 TDi EEGR (GEM) 2.5 TDi NON EEGR (GEM) 2.5 TDi NON EEGR (MAXXION) I am guessing one of the bottom two but which one is correct? Answers as always gratefully recieved! Cheers G Quote
landroversforever Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 is there and engine number you could look up? Quote
BogMonster Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I should forget about trying to select parts with Microcat by entering the engine derivative - it usually doesn't work anyway! What bits are you trying to identify? Quote
tuko Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Get the serial number off the motor and match it up with this list: Quote

gruntus Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 Thanks for your help chaps. Sorry for the slow reply as I am just back from a week on holiday. The only reason I asked is that in Microcat I can put my VIN number in which works fine and you can also select the engine model from the drop down (amongst others those listed above). Stupidly I have just realised you can just pick a standard defender and then pick the engine model out from the Graphic Index... I was looking for the water pump number so that I make sure I don't order up the one for a discovery. Correct number is STC639 User error as usual Thanks again. Cheers G Quote
