ziggymike Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hi all. Just a quick one. Finished install of 200tdi in my 110. It started first time but wants to run at full revs. Heres a list of things I have checked. Fuel pipes on correct Throttle lever returning to stop The engine has been stood for a couple of years and was out of a Disco, is there something inside the pump which could be stuck? This is my first post, sorry its not a helpful one. Regards Michael. Quote
patch1 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 It dose sound like the govenor is stuck inside the pump, probubly from being stood for a whill with no fuel init. I f your luky it should free its self. Quote
ziggymike Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 Thanks for that, I think I will have to replace something rather than letting it run because it is at full throttle. its not nice!! Quote
Happyoldgit Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 It's not feeding itself on oil vapour is it? Quote
ziggymike Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Thought that at first, but as I can turn it off on the key ruled that one out. Had one do that before, tryed stalling it but clutch went then conrod showed itself.Happy days! Quote
ziggymike Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Update!! Remembered I had primed the pump quite a bit last week, first when I made up the connections and then yesterday before the big start. I released the fuel feed banjo, released the pressure. Turned the key and all is good. Thanks guys for your replies. Bleed green. Quote
