martinspragg Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I'm doing a rebuild of a spare LT230 and I think the nut size of the output flanges (front and rear) is 27mm and I don't have a 27mm socke. Before I go and buy a very infrequently used socket I just want to confirm that is the correct size? Quote
bishbosh Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 If my learned friend would toddle off to the tech archive, he would possibly find the enlightenment he is looking for....... Quote

Retroanaconda Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 I wouldn't have said a 27mm socket was an infrequently used size either, it is your wheel nuts after all Unless yours are different Quote
martinspragg Posted October 14, 2009 Author Posted October 14, 2009 Yeah sorry boys, my bad, it is in the tech archive, one of Les's extensive rebuild photo montages and it's 30mm not sure how I missed it first time. I would measure it myself but some kind fellow walked off with my calipers and I haven't got around to replacing them. Plus I live in an area dominated by the good old US of A so nearly all my tools are non metric, my wheel wrench is a 1 1/16" socket which is close to 27mm. So I'm off to the shops for a 30mm socket.
