:( The drivers door lock has done the usual trick, unlock door but cant get in without lifting the button whilst pulling door handle. I have an idea it is that little spring within the lock mechanism. I have springs in stock.Replacing this must have been discused before but I cant find the artical in the forums. This may be down to me having a not good day so far  Maybe a little Landy tinkering will act as good therapy.

I have found some information on removing the lock but the picture of were the spring fits is postage stamp size. No good with my aged eye sight. ;) Help please :(

Changing the actual spring is really easy, it's getting the lock mechanism out that is the tricky bit. I may have the instructions that came with the springs when I did mine kicking around somewhere. If you pm me your email address, I'll send you.

Thanks everybody, spring thing done. :glare: I think the problem with the picys I found was my end. With a bit of susing and bogling I made the pictures bigger and all became clearer. Getting the lock out was a right pain as sugested, getting the galons of waxoil off my now bald arms was even more painfull. After working on Series 2/2A/3 and my 90 the Disco has a few hiden little horors to catch the unaware but I still think it is mostly DIY repairable. As exspected it is nearly MOT time so you should expect trouble.

How was the therapy then?

I find when the arms are bald, the wrists slightly shredded, a couple of hours will turn that into a mild sense of satisfaction and a reminder that LR Dealer workshop labour charges are £75 and upwards..................... :P

I have just had a long weekend away in Scotland, no Landy no driving. I thought it would make a change but I kept thinking of the the things I need to do when I get back. Its test time next Monday  I am an ex MOT tester so I cant help but think of what they will look for. I have had time off my Landy before but still came back for more. The dealers can have the SAAB to fix but I aint letting them near the Landy if only to stop them charging those prices. It may be old and a bit tired but it always surprises me how little time or money it has cost me these last two years. :D
