ian_s
the handbrake warning light on my disco has recently started to randomly come on, only while driving for long periods. it will also randomly go out. is this a warning light for any other brake parts? i've checked fluid levels and pad thicknesses, they are ok. it has ABS, and the ABS light behaves as it should, and the system works OK, even when this light is on. any ideas? sweety
I've just had this on my D2 once I unplugged the brake fluid level switch the light hasn't come on again. I started a thread on this not long ago might be worth a look Ches could I ask how you fixed it as i'm wondering if mine might have a pin hole as it'll save me from buying a new sensor
ches
located the hole on what looks like a seam on the float.then VERY carefully closed it with a red hot pin. the replacement cap and switch at the time was £28.

cottamlee
hi there, is it a disco 1? if so have you had the handbrake gaiter off for any reason? if it isnt fitted back properly it springs the lever just enough to make a contact with the switch. ours did anyway.
