carsmart
Hi all i have a 93 3.5 disco 1 i bought some replacement front pads of flea bay which were for this year model, just went to change em over and although they are the same size and pattern they do not have the 2 ears at the top for the retaining pins to go through just a centre lug , so my question is can i still use them or not ? will they rattle or maybe somthing worse ?. The discs are vented and there is no abs fitted. cheers for your help Martyn.
K88 MUD
If there for the front then you carnt fit it to the front axle......these must have the holes for the pad pins.
cipx2
You won't be able to fit the springs (or fitting them will do no good), the pads will rattle side to side but also up and down, there will be more room for them to rattle in, given the more room braking 2 consecutive times might not have the same efficiency etc. Fit them only if you're in the middle of the desert until you reach home. My advice is to buy the right pads. If you want to identify those pads you bought, post a picture or the e-bay link, full manufacture part numbers, codes etc
