Spare parts for a Mayflower PTO Drum winch??

Effortless

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I have a Mayflower winch that I split for a rebuild a few years ago. I would now like to get it running again, but in the years it's been in bits and moved around, I've managed to lose a few bits.

Most importantly, the clutch dog which slides on the mainshaft and engages with a dog on the drum. Any idea where I can get one? Has someone a winch in bits that I could take the clutch dog to an engineers to get another one made? I have called Superwinch in Tavistock, and drawn a blank there (Mayflower turned into Fairy turned into Superwinch).

I also seem to have mislaid the two brake shoes and brake shoe springs... doh!!

Any ideas??

Cheers,

Gone I'm afraid... 'cos I bought it!

If you're not in a hurry though, keep an eye out on eBay, on the sales sections of this site and the Series 2 Club forum, and OLLR... bound to get one.

Also, if it's certain parts you need, post up here and someone may have bit lying about. I've broken my old winch for parts, most still available... what is it you need??
