Recommended Posts

Ok, so i need to get myself a christmas present !

What would you guys recommend for a decent autotinting welding mask ?

Mainly for mig & arc, but i'd like to possibly give tig a go some time.

Not fussed if it's not got a grinding option.

< £200.

Cheers

Gordon

This is like the one I use, been brilliant, dropped, thrown, drowned and still comes back for more. No bells or whistles and crucially no knob to get broken off the outside or caught on stuff in confined spaces.

By the way, the price is right, definately didn't cost £300!

Worth noting that this ad is nothing to do with me.

I have one of those, bought from HEREfor £60 biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif . Looks like they don't do them now though. Plenty of options to choose from including Speedglas....

It does have a silly knob, but I can't say it gets in the way....even if it did, a bit of tape would hold it where you want it as it were....ph34r.gif

I use a Miller - very good piece of kit , nice and lightweight for use all day , not too bulky so good for access when under rusty vehicles, nice big view window , grind setting which also works for gas cutting , and under £200 :)

mine is the one with flames on it........

cheers

I bought something that wasn't expensive but wasn't cheap.

Somewhere in the middle but in truth it is rubbish as it is only barely usable on the lowest setting and only then just. So my view? if the guys here offer an idea it is probably right.

Marc.
