Mauro1963 Posted January 9, 2010 Share Posted January 9, 2010 Hi all, I'm planning about convert my 110 TD5 from manual to auto, using a gearbox from disco 300, i have full 300 gearbox with converter and bell plus td5 gearbox and bell w/out converter, anyone knows if i can fit 300 gearbox with his converter and TD5 bell on TD5 engine? Id suggest that you need to consider the basics; Gearbox crossmember/support (if there is one) Overall gearbox lenght (is it the same) Kickdown (cable mounting on to linkage etc) Td5 engine and connections (isnt there a clutch thing on the ECU?) Philip Tonkin Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 I have found them to be very open on here in the past. There are a few ways to do it. I have seen Ashtrans post a full list of what you need to do the mech or electronic conversion. You have 3 options. Buy the bits on the cheap, buy from them and fit yourselves and get them to do it.
