Lando
I've seen the odd little bit about them and I've got to tell you... I WANT ONE! Never been the biggest fan of hybrids in general but everything I've seen on this just looks so cool. It's scheduled for release in 2011 as part of the Range Rover line and will apparently be, "the smallest, lightest and most efficient vehicle the company has ever produced." So, what're your thoughts people? Anyone got any pics by any chance? Cheers, Lando

TSD
lol would be good seeing one winching it self out of a muddy bomb hole Surely as a hybrid it will come with a monster alternator and battery setup as standard. Should be able to overvolt a 24V winch quite effectively
Soren Frimodt
Probably the best looking LR for years imo. Wonder how long it'll take before someone shoves a RRC chassis under it
TheRecklessEngineer
That looks great. I wonder what the wheelbase is? Write-off bodywork onto a tax exempt chassis? Hmmmm....
BogMonster
It looks like a RR Sport that has been sat on by something large and bellowy

If thats smaller than an 80" I'll eat my headwear! Camera for rear view visibility? Looks like it would be very claustrophobic inside, and something Peugeot might knock out? Surprised they didn't badge it as a Range Rover. Sorry, I'd buy a Quattro or similar IF I was in the market for something like that.... gazelle
Was it inspired by the truck in Judge Dread?
Part1cle
Was it inspired by the truck in Judge Dread? Perhaps they sent the wrong CADD file to the presses (moulding m/c's?) and that's the best they could come up with

Hybrid_From_Hell
Hmmmmm I would say just bear in mind LRs quality issues around electrics on any model generally And then consider this is mainly an electric car So, no probs there then Maybe instead of LR Assist you get a 1000 metre extension cable ? henrycrabbe
Mmmmm, very nice, but that is just the concept vehicle that's been kicking around for a few months now. HOWEVER - The current Freelander production line at Halewood is being modified as we speak to make the production version of this very car I expect the production model will loose the fancy rear seating and full length console for a more conventional arrangement, and hopefully have a bit more glass to look out of. We'll wait and see... .
Retroanaconda
I hope it doesn't look like that Then again, I have to keep reminding myself that they are going to try and produce what will sell to the market, not what I like/will actually work. Godlykepower
My first thoughts were Judge Dread when I saw the picture!! And as the vehicle in Judge Dredd was a 101 FC, it may be entirely possible......

We'll wait and see... Citroen put dashes like the one in the concept car into their production cars... check out the current C4 for example. nicks90
i think it looks a little bit like that aweful audi 4x4 thing - just smaller. horrendous.
GBMUD
I see that the driver seat in the pics appears to double as a commode, that could be very handy on long trips or on scary descents. Chris
Exmoor Beast
I've seen it at Goodwood Festival of Speed and I really liked it in the metal (or plastic or whatever it is). If it was basic and sensible money they'd sell squillions of them but its likely to be too highly spec'd and daft money. Will
