FridgeFreezer
Andy - get yourself to Aladdin's cave, they have bus bars with screw terminals and then a BIG battery post on the end, among other solutions.
MogLite
What a great thread B) Loads of cool ideas. If I can plan my wiring loom to fit the Grey VWP modular system, we might have a winner, shame its not in my 2004 catalogue.
Fatboy
I have to agree with Andy, an excellent cross-section of ideas. Can it go into the Technical Archive as a reference so I know when to find it the next time I have a wiring storm?
Paul
There must be someone over there who stocks these: Much neater for a distribution block. One heavy cable in, 6, 8 or 10 lines out with standard blade fuses. Paul
Mark90
They look very like the ones John C posted links too. When I've been after something like that in the past I've never found a Uk supplier for anything like them. Where's Roger Barton, are you listening, there's a market here I did look up and found a UK supplier for Bussmann products (which is the make of the ones John C psoted) and although I can't see those fuse/distribution boxes listed on their website they might be worth a try. Where's Roger Barton, are you listening, there's a market here I looked into this last time they were featured in a forum. Decided to put it on the back-burner until I've got some other projects off the ground.
dollythelw
Andy, solder up the bus, plop it in a tub with the tails hanging out, check it with a meter and the pot the whole thing in dilectric potting compound. Waterproof, vibration impervious and neat Forget fuses mate, buy breakers. WBBSC
