trendkill
Step dads disco 2 v8? Think its a 4litre. AA man took off the steering column surround to change the ignition barrell.... He didnt put it back correct im guessing as there are two electrical plugs not plugged in & there is a red warning light on the dash. I asked him if he had 'checked the manual' to which he replied, NO Having found the book in the glove box! I had a look at what the warning light ment... It said something along the lines of 'TURN ENGINE OFF, DO NOT CARRY ON RUNNING THE ENGINE.... GET THE F@*% OUT OF THE CAR AND RUN!...... Then go to your local land rover garage and pay them far too much to fix the problem' Anybody shed any light on this?

PaulMc
The connector you've pictured is for the 'Shift Interlock' system, only fitted to NAS/Japanese specification vehicles. .
trendkill
The warning light: ACTIVE CORNERING ENHANCEMENT (ACE) RED/AMBER* *If the light shows RED (A flashing red light which changes to constant illumination after two minutes & is accompanied by a warning chime) - This is whats happening in The Disco. It then tells you to stop running the engine as it may cause 'serious damage to engine components' & to seek qualified assistance immediately....
