Badger90
hello people.. im a little confused this.. it is off my mums 90 300tdi crank timing sproket. that big gap by the key way.. is that ment to be there lol? cheers sam
Fatboy
No. That indicates that the pully has been slack and has worn the keyway wider. Possibly because the bolt was not tight enough the last time the timing belt was replaced... Time for a new pulley and woodruff key for the shaft. You also need to have a good look at the shaft to make sure it is okay and the bolt and threads in the end.

mmgemini
Normal I was told. The bolt likes to undo it'self on the 300Tdi..... A vnew pulley and Woodruff key. Is the crank damaged ?
