harry01 Posted March 31, 2010 Share Posted March 31, 2010 Hi there does anyone know anything about the MPi. Recently got hold of one and its very tappy when Idling. Can i get some new pushrods and tappets or are the tappets in this model hydraulic self adjusting and how do I stop the tapping. Its a 1995 2l MPi. maxtherotti Posted March 31, 2010 Share Posted March 31, 2010 Hi the t series engine has hydralic tappets mounted under the cams so no adjustments or push rods easy way to sort out what ones have gone soft remove cam covers and press the lifters down with a screw driver to check for any soft ones (with cam lobe pointing upwards) rob Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
