Mikado
I have a 3.9 V8i auto disco powered by LPG, which generally runs very sweetly. It has recently started to cut out without warning, once or twice a day. The gas level indicator/petrol switch light goes out, and the car will not re-start until it comes on again, normally after a few minutes, occasionally about 10 mins. Gas problem? Electrical problem? Mystified. Car OK apart from this. I am going to run it on pertol for a couple of days -ouch! to see if the problem continues. Any ideas gratefully received. ballcock
It sounds like electrical fault. you could try testing the switch box feed when it goes out to see if there is still power getting there as a starting point.
