Truck Cab stock spare mount

Recommended Posts

Some time ago as I was surfing for LR parts I came across a site that offered an extension piece for the stock truck cab spare mount that enabled you to carry a larger size spare.

Of course I forgot to bookmark the page and can no longer find it.

Anyone know?

Also, what is the best/most practical way to carry a spare on a 90 truck cab?

I like how the stock looks but that will eat a good bit of my tub space.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

i just got some threaded bar from a local nuts and bolts supplyers and it worked a treat and best of all a 1mtr lenght was only £5, bargain.

im looking at doing a swing away carrier for mine as i do alot of shooting with it and like you i dont want to use all spare room in the tub.

i have some bar left if you want some, just pm me

cheers gavin

Bars free, you just need to pay his expenses to deliver it :)

Did similar on mine but when I changed to a full fat spare it impaired visibility too much so now the bar is used to bolt the spare flat on the load bay
