lansalot
Hi Am going to be swapping my tired 3.5 for a fresh(er) 3.9. The 3.9 came from an auto range rover, so as the Defender is a manual I'm going to stick with that for the time being. Looking for some info - and part numbers - on what all I need to refresh to hook up ? Gearbox is LT85 if I remember right, and of course I'll have everything necessary on the existing kit. Naturally tho I'll be replacing the clutch while I'm at it (and I think the release bearing)? Does anyone have part numbers/links for these consumables, and anything else worth doing while I'm in that end of things ? Also, for fitting the clutch plate, any information on torque settings for bolts, whether thread-lock is needed, anything along those lines ? Thanks A

western
what you need is the manuals & parts book links at the top of the request for part numbers forum, they will let you sort out any numbers & info on swapping the bits over
