pinhead
I would like to remove ace from my disco 2 as I am sick of the constant groan from the pipes I don't have any leaks just annoys me so what anti roll bars do I need to rplace the ace stuff with will disco 1 anti roll bar fit, do I need d2 from a scraper or does any one do after Market heavy duty or what ever and how much are they thanks andy
Les Henson
I did the ARB bushes on a D2 last week. It looks to me that the roll bar is a seperate item, so just removal or possibly disconnection of the ACE would suffice. You'll have a warning light come up on the dash though I think. Les. pinhead
The light can be turned off by computer I amaware of that but how will the anti roll bar be under tension if I remove the ram do I puta link in from a non ace car
Les Henson
Normal unassisted anti-roll bars just go from one wheel to the other - via the chassis, so with the ACE removed, it will have unassisted anti-roll bar - same as earlier Disco's, Defenders, etc. Les. Les Henson
Just looked in EPC. It seems that you can't just remove the mechanism (you'll have no anti-roll bar at all). There is a non-ACE ARB (part number RBL 101370), so I guess you can remove ACE and fit the standard item. Looks like you will need the drivers side ARB link rod to connect it up as well. AS long as the holes, etc are there, then it seems likely that you can do it. Les.
