Bobs Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Hi to change the vcu will i need to dismantle the uj's, or, with the props removed from the vehicle will there be sufficientspace to fit a spanner onto the bolts? v8bertha Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 The UJ's do not need to be dismantled. Undo the bolts that hold the prop shaft ends into each end of the VCU. There is no need to remove them, just undo them enough to slide out the "U" shaped spacer. Then you can slide the prop off the VCU splines... I say slide... they may need a bit of gentle persuasion with LR special tool No.1! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
