Badger90
evening all. over the week end i fitted my turner gasflow head. it need changing as no.4 cylinder melted and hammerd the hell you the head. but since i put that in runs like a dream.. quite, smooth, responsive, less smoke ans fast. but mornings and whe the engine has been siiting still for a hour or 2, its not easy to start. will start, run for 1 second and the stall even with foot flat down, then second time it start and run beautifully all day..????? cheers sam
simonr
Sounds like fuel vaporising in the pipes when the engine is hot. Re-route the pipes or insulate them. Si

TheHarv
one of the fuel unions not quite tight - drawing in a little bit of air as the pipes cool down... ?
Badger90
yeah.. i will have to look propperly at the week end.. did i also mention that in the morning it starts first time then stalls strieght after that.. then its a pig to start.. this morning it look about 10 seconds to start cheers sam
Les Henson
This is a symptom of low fuel pressure on start-up. The reason it starts and then cuts out is because there's enough fuel in the injector pump for it to briefly start. Could be failed lift pump (fuel draining back to the tank), air in the system, fuel leak. Les.
