landroversforever
What size is the thread on the end of the gear stick? What options have I got other than the mucho ££££££ but nice and bling Croytec ones? Can I buy any old one from the House of Chav? Mine is coming off, and has obviously fallen apart on the inside in the past, then been RTV'd on by the looks of it! Thanks in advance! Retroanaconda
Are you of the LT77 flavour Ross? New proper knobs aren't expensive: http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/6723/FRC8722-GEAR-KNOB-5-SPEED-MANUAL-LT77.html Or for R380 flavour: http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/3592/BTR9270-MAIN-GEAR-KNOB-R380-5-SPEED-MANUAL.html
landroversforever
I am currently, but I was looking for a generic/blank one. In case I one day change the box.
jbs
Ross you could always go and get one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pool-Ball-Gear-Knob-Land-Rover-Defender-Transfer-Box-/180279225388?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item29f97aac2c#ht_2188wt_1165

al415
In addition to the improvised explosive device that was hidden in the engine bay of my new 90, it arrived without a shift knob. The only ones that I can find in my local auto supply place are chromed skulls! Those billiard balls look much better!

FridgeFreezer
Chromed skull is classy, aparently a more recent trend was the handle of a snap-on screwdriver, although a proper knob is probably cheaper.
