Mike Brownlie
Hi, Im changing my chassis on my 90 to a galvy one. I have ordered a full bush kit and wondered what else i should replace while im at it. What are the typical bolt sizes i will need when doing the swap. Thanks Mike
Retroanaconda
You'll need a shed load of bolts, make friends with your local stockist. I recently bought, for a Series 3 88" that I'm converting to Metric stainless fittings where possible: M6 x 20mm through 60mm M8 x 20mm through 80mm M10 x 25mm through 80mm I got about 50 of each to start with, but am running out of some sizes. There are also plenty of other sizes of which you will only need a few. Bulkhead-to-chassis for example, M12 x 180 I believe. Bear in mind that some things will need to be high tensile, the bolts that hold on the axles for example, while a lot of others do now. The fixings holding the floors down, the roof up etc can be stainless. Generally a good guide is the part numbers, have a look at this site: http://www.ep90.com/index.php?id=28 From that you can work out what size a bolt is, and whether it needs to be high tensile. Hope that helps

mike4444244
Hi If you do a search you'll find loads of info as this is covered fairly regularly Mike
heath robinson
Gearbox and engine mount rubbers, maybe brake pipes, and fuel lines. I'm having all the little brackety doo-hickeys galvanised by a local firm, for not a lot, and depending on how far you want to go, you could always galv the footwells etc. Have a look at Si Whites build thread for ideas. nicks90
if you're stumping up the pennies for a new chassis - might as well chuck new brake pipes, fuel pipes and wiring loom at it as well.
