Front Prop Length

Hi

At the scrapyard is a J reg 110 turbo, somebody has removed the engine and placed the front prop in the back and it looks in good condition with no slop in the UJs at either end.

Would this prop the the same length as a front prop on my 300Tdi 90?

I did have a look throught there but couldnt find a mention of any lengths for a front prop of either vehicles - unless i was being blind.

Def 300 fr(ont) 637(mm)

From the same post:

Defender 200 front 685(mm), the same for a 2.5TD (it's the same gearbox / transfer box?)

as above, no it wont fit, its longer.

Front prop is the same part for 90/110/Disco1/RRC and all of the engines fitted to them except the V8 Disco1. part no is FRC8386

Sorry but thats wrong.

300TDI and onwards defenders use the same prop as disco and RRC's yes, but early defenders use a different longer prop, becuase the box is mounted further back.
