Guest
Are you replacing the whole thing or just recovering what you have? I have removed mine on the 110 a couple of times to get into the electrics and it's not that difficult and goes back without any difficulty. The only thing I would say is take it easy and don't crease the fiber board, I found I had to get a couple of new white "Pine tree" pins as by the time I had removed them they were shot, they were something stupid like 50p ea from land rover so worth changing. ajh
I'd replace the 'pine tree' fasteners with nylon inserts and then use screws with caps to put it back. Much less work to remove in the future and greatly decreases the chance of damage, and easy to add more to help eliminate any movement. I've done something like this in almost every place where one of those terrible friction fasteners has been used or in place of a plastic rivet and not had any issues at all. Ive always found getting the nasty pine tree things out a real pain, (I have a few specialist trim tools but even then its not easy to get some of the older ones out without pinching material).
